Translating the plugin

Heroic Knowledge Base is fully translation ready. To translate the plugin you need to copy and edit the PO file (ht-knowledge-base/languages/ht-knowledge-base-en_US.po).

Copy the file and rename the file with the relevant WordPress locale, for example if you were translating the file into French, rename the file ht-knowledge-base-fr_FR.po.

Using a program such as PO Edit (http://poedit.net/), you can edit the translations directly.

Ensure all your plugin folder (ht-knowledge-base) is on your local machine before starting the translation.

1. Open the PO translation file in PO Edit, first click Update to update the translation source.

6. Set your WordPress language, either with a plugin such as WordPress localize or WPML. Or manually update the WP_LANG constant in your WordPress config.php file.

// WordPress Localized Language, defaults to English.
define ('WPLANG', 'fr_FR');
